Lagniappe Weddings was established in 2003 by twin sisters Trudy Baade and Sarah Pittman. So, why the name Lagniappe; a French creole word meaning “a little something extra”? A household term used often in their home state of Louisiana, Trudy and Sarah strive to bring this to each wedding and uphold the meaning of Lagniappe!
Trudy has been planning weddings and events for over 10 years. She is a Certified Master Wedding Planner, a founding member and the current President of The American Association of Certified Wedding Planners. She has a BBA of Business Management from Texas Christian University (TCU) in Fort Worth, Texas. Trudy has experience in floral and event design. She shares her passion for weddings with her sister and business partner, Sarah Pittman, and together they created Lagniappe Weddings, giving each of their clients “a little something extra” in both design and details for each wedding.
Sarah is a Certified Master Wedding Planner with the American Association of Certified Wedding Planners. For over 10 years, she has enjoyed planning weddings of varying styles around Dallas and Fort Worth. Sarah has a BS degree in Advertising and Public Relations from Texas Christian University (TCU) in Fort Worth, Texas. Sarah has experience in public relations and event design. Planning can be stressful but Lagniappe endeavors to ease the stress so you enjoy the special moments of your wedding day.
